On December 12, the supervision meeting on the construction of Shiyan agricultural industrialization base was held in Yunxi county. At the meeting, Cai Xianzhong, director of Shiyan Agriculture Bureau, first informed the progress of the city's agricultural industrialization base. So far, the city's autumn and winter sowing has completed a total of 2.51 million mu, 93% of the plan. Among them, 1.11 million mu is wheat, 17000 Mu is potato, 702000 Mu is rape, 520000 Mu is vegetable, 52000 Mu is green manure, and 100000 Mu is silkworm pea. With tea, Chinese herbal medicine, walnut and goat as the main four characteristic industries, 285000 mu of new bases and 87000 goats were added. At the same time, agricultural development in autumn and winter this year has shown the characteristics of increasing efforts in industrial development, mechanism and system innovation, practical technology promotion, marketing and so on. However, there are still some problems, such as insufficient autumn sowing area, poor growth of grain and oil crops, small-scale agriculture, low efficiency, and sharp fluctuations in the price of agricultural products.
Cai Xianzhong, director of agriculture of Shiyan City, stressed: we should closely focus on the goal of building a strong agricultural city, and launch and implement the "263" action plan of building a strong agricultural city. We should adhere to the two key points, namely, on the one hand, the construction of processing parks and the cultivation of leading enterprises, and on the other hand, the expansion of base scale and the improvement of base quality. Three major projects will be built, namely, the construction project of "four million" key characteristic industries, the revitalization project of agricultural products processing industry, and the construction project of "Wudang" characteristic agricultural brand. We should strive to make four breakthroughs in mechanism innovation, science and technology, increasing support, and organization and leadership. We should pay attention to base expansion, mechanism innovation, cultivation of leading enterprises, application of science and technology, and market docking.
